About Caroline
Caroline D’Ambra is an opera and musical theatre enthusiast from Colorado Springs, CO. Her love of music began at a young age when her family attended Celtic Woman in concert. Years later, when she won the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs State Competition at age 12, Caroline knew her passion for music would take her far and she has been pursuing her love of performing ever since.
She is a recent 2025 graduate from Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver where she earned her B.M. in Vocal Performance, Classical Emphasis and a Minor in History. At Lamont, Caroline was seen performing as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, and Cobweb in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has sung in the ensembles of Dido and Aeneas (where she covered the role of Belinda), The Little Prince, Handel’s Alcina, L’Enfant et les Sortileges, Les Mamelles des Tirésias, and La Bohème. Her diligence and craft in the way she studies and performs has allowed her to strengthen her artistry in both classical music and musical theatre while obtaining her undergraduate degrees. In 2023, she starred as Glinda in the Englewood Summer Drama Program’s production of the Wizard of Oz.
Miss D’Ambra returned as a vocalist for the 2025 Arts at Altitude Festival with the Cleveland Pops after being 2024’s Competition Winner for the first annual YMCA of the Rockies Vocal Competition in Estes Park. Conducted by Carl Topilow and joined by vocalists Connor Bogart O’Brien and Natalie Green, Caroline has performed various musical theatre numbers such as “Memory”, “Agony”, “Sisters”, “the Sound of Music”, “For Good” and “New York, New York”.
She has sung the National Anthem for the United States Air Force Academy’s Hockey, Basketball, and Volleyball teams, the Douglas County Livestock Auction, the Miss Colorado Competition, and her university’s Undergraduate Commencement with the Denver Brass.
Caroline studied voice under the guidance of Matthew Plenk, Ginger Raye, and Janice Semrad.
She enjoys her time away from the stage by finding new cities to explore, going on hikes, painting landscapes, reading books, and enjoying time with her family and friends.
